Artist Biography

Our resident artist arrived in New York City in 1968 with one clear vision—to embody her calling as an American artist. Raised in the California desert of the Coachella Valley, she grew up surrounded by vast landscapes, desert light, and the quiet rhythms of nature. After studying painting at the University of California, she moved to The Bowery at the height of New York’s creative art scene. There, inspired by Pop Art, she created bold acrylic and mixed-media portraits of American cultural icons.

As her work evolved, her art became deeply rooted in the landscapes and spirit of the American Southwest and Southern California—the desert flora, wildflowers, coastal light, and the rich ecology of the West. Infused with symbolism, intuition, and a lifelong spiritual practice, her work celebrates feminine strength through archetypal figures of resilience, transformation, and intersectionality. Her pieces invite wonder, connection, and reverence for all types of beauty in the natural world.
